FRANCE

Temps Reel launched the artistic project HOSPITALITÉ EN ACTIONS at the heart of accommodation centers for asylum seekers, by creating an artistic haven in nature at at the natural park of Villefagnan, for poets, authors, photographers and singers from Africa, the Middle East, Asia: Tigrinya, Tigré, Saho from Eritrea, Afar from Ethiopia, Faur, Nuer, Dinka from Sudan, Somalis, Bambaras, Djoulas, Fulani from Mali. Soninkés from Mauritania, Soussous from Guinea, Bangalas, Nyangas from Congo,Tuaregs from Libya, Tibetans, Syrians, Dari, Pashtuns, from Afghanistan.

These talented artists arrived by foot on the most difficult paths, having lost everything, they are inaudible, invisible. Especially those who fled Eritrea, Syria, Afghanistan, gagged by particularly cruel dictatorships. One strength remains to them: their art. Temps Reel accompanies these artists. Since 2020 Temps Reel is working to bring together a group of Azmaris (singers, storytellers, poets) exiled in France, in an artistic project that now bears their name. Azmari deploys an energy of multilingual polyphonic creation.

The artistic material of Azmari is the fruit of exchanges between all people from migration or not, united by the desire to reinvent the territories of art and the languages of humanity. In 2021, an international ensemble Batukada was created in Ruffec, bringing together local and global artists. Within WALC, and between 2024 and 2026, Temps Reel will bring together a network of cultural actors, a rural public, asylum seekers and international artists as a meeting place, place of residence and workshop for interdisciplinary artistic productions.
